What is God asking from us?

Before I begin, let me say this: I am no biblical scholar. but I have spent the last few days processing not only Sarah's announcement...but the REACTION it has received by some of her most staunch supporters. It is for that reason that I crawled out bed at 3:30 a.m. to write this.

Sarah's announcement. It just doesn't add up...does it? There is more to it then appears on the surface. I just feel it in my bones, folks. Something is up.

But what? I'm sure I don't know (nor do any of us) and the political side of this is actually the portion of it that I am the least interested in exploring. Nope, it's the spiritual questions that have opened up to me that I am trying to sort through tonight.

And I've come to this question above all the others: why has God created this situation?

You see, in the past few days I have talked to so very, very many people who have prayed for Sarah since 2008. PRAYED EVERY SINGLE DAY that God would do HIS WILL through her life and in the life of this nation of ours. These are committed Prayer Warriors who remained steadfast through all the storms that have hit Sarah in the past few years. These intercessors have never ceased to have faith that God was working "something" through Sarah's life. Things that shook her other supporters (from Sarah resigning as Governor to her endorsement of John McCain) didn't phase her Prayer Warriors at all.

You see, Sarah's Prayer Warriors have always operated above the politics. Most of the time, they were the last to know...or care...about the political brou-ha-has going on in the very loud periphery.

No, the Prayer Warriors, for the most part, do not waste their time reading Politico or analyzing polls. Honestly, we just don't care too much about them because this has always been more about just answering the personal call that we received to Pray for Sarah.

Time is short, and with SO MUCH to pray about, the politics has always had to take a back seat.

And don't doubt the commitment, either. I was talking to a supporter last night who told me, "I pray for her every day. Every day without fail. On the day my mother died, I still set aside the time to pray for Sarah." Indeed. I remember in my own life, on the occasion of the birth of my daughter, I suffered a from a near-fatal embolism on the delivery room table. When I woke up almost two days later, and my clarity was just beginning to emerge again...and I had mumbled to God about my own family...the thought entered my mind: "Pray for Sarah real quick too."

Yes, the call to pray for her that so many of us have experienced is that strong.

Let me make this clear, though, to all the naysayers who are going to shriek about false idols and "don't put her on a pedestal". In these prayers, Sarah is not, and has never been, the primary focus of what we are asking from God. In the end, it has always been about Saving America, Saving God's People, Saving Israel and Protection from the Darkness that seeks to denigrate humanity and enslave. Sarah, you see, is just a little worker for God (as are we). She is our sister in Christ and we believe God is using her to further His Will here on earth. Call us crazy, but that's at the heart of why we pray for that God grant her guidance, wisdom and protection.

In fact, I am going to take this one step further, and just announce to the world, right here and now: most of us have had our prayers accompanied with dreams, visions and the finding of revelatory scripture that confirm the urgent and relentless need for prayer over Sarah. Through the prayers, God has been able to reach us in other mystifying, supernatural ways. What a blessing these occasions have been to all who have experienced them.

So there has never been any doubt in my mind that God is at work through Sarah. Logically, it's the only thing that makes sense.

For how else do you explain the atheist who stumbles into Team Sarah with a burning desire to know about Sarah, only to realize that it was not Sarah that he was being called to...BUT GOD. That God was only using her to get into his godless heart. Glory be to God, that this man's political support of Sarah led to his conversion and his acceptance of Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. (True Story)

How else do you explain a leftist Filipino man who spent his life hating America...only to find himself not only wanting to learn more about Sarah, but experiencing a new-found love of American values and a desire to emigrate to the United States? (True Story)

How else do you explain the frazzled, spiritually disconnected housewife, at the end of her rope after make destructive personal decisions, suddenly being called to pray for Sarah...and to find...in the midst of new relationship with God...that her marriage was saved and her life renewed? (True Story)

How else do you explain a strident Democrat, pro-abortion Obama supporter being called by God, relentlessly, into prayer for Sarah, and experiencing a sudden, life-changing over-haul from liberal values to conservative? (Yes, True Story)

Of course mere mortal is all that Sarah is, flawed and imperfect, no better than the rest of us, but I can't help but connect the dots and assume that God is working through her to accomplish something. What other explanation is there?

So, it is through the awareness of this immense spiritual connection that folks have made with Sarah in their Life of Prayer, that I have to ask this question: why on earth did God do all of this?

Why did he work so many miracles, destroy so many barriers, transform so many lives and call so many to prayer if it was all going to end as a quiet little blip?

I don't believe that is, folks.

Just my own soul instinct tells me that God is calling us, now, to keep our eye ON HIM. LIVE ON FAITH NOW...in the darkness where nothing is clear...block out those distracting voices that are saying: "move on, don't pray for her, waste of time, it's over and time to get back to life as normal, God doesn't care, it's over, he was just toying with you. It means nothing. Life is nothing. You are nothing special. She is nothing special. Nameless, faceless in God's eyes are all of you. Dust in the wind, ashes to ashes, all is folly and it ends in the grave. What's going to happen is going to happen and everything decays so just stop trying to stop the inevitable. Face reality, stop believing in fairy tales..."

If you are a Prayer Warrior, or just someone has always felt, in the back of your mind, that God has a purpose...and has called all of us for Such A Time as This, then now is the time to hold on, for dear life, to your hope that God's Will is going to be done.

Don't let, those loud voices on the man-made political periphery weaken the trust you have the God is calling us to DO HIS WILL NOW. Ignore the cacophony of distracting doubts that are assailing you, and just GET BACK TO YOUR PRAYERS.

You will be safe....you will be saved...if you stay curled up like a baby in God's hand. Let Him protect you! Let Him make you strong! Let Him give you the vigor and passion and courage to hold your ground on the spiritual battlefield.

Sew yourself into scripture.

Surrender to yourself to your Creator.

Your Hope is Built on JESUS CHRIST. All Other Ground is Sinking Sand. All Other Ground is Sinking Sand. ALL OTHER GROUND IS SINKING SAND and those who seek to destroy God's people, to destroy His Word, to Destroy Israel, to Destroy His Will Being Done on Earth...THEY are standing on the sinking sand. With all their power and schemes and wealth and connections and smug arrogance, always remember that THEY are standing on the sinking sand.

Be happy, be joyful, be at Peace and don't be ashamed to cuddle up to Jesus like a child. He's going to protect you. He's not going to let them get to you. You will never serve the beast that they serve. We are going to survive no matter what the godless dish out against us. The battle has already been won.

Now, as for Sarah...what is God going to do with her? What's his plan?

I don't know. I don't care. And when you stop trying to force your hopes and dreams for what you've personally planned for Sarah's life onto God (because his far-superior plan may be wildly different from your own little human one)...and you just relax and let him do His Will, you no longer have to stress out about how it's all going to turn out.

God's in control, people.

God is in control.

God is in control.

And he's got the whole "what's going to happen with Sarah/Us" covered.

He's got a plan.

We just need to pray, without ceasing, that His Will is Done through her life (and don't forget to ask him to do his Will through yours as well).

Shut out that loud, nasty world and just Praise God.

Indeed, whether she becomes President or a Poodle Groomer, well...that's going to be God's decision in the end, isn't it?

Pray people, pray. And pray that others will be called by God to join us. (Yes, of course, work to get this nation saved too. I think God expects us to shed blood, sweat and tears in an earnest, human, earthly effort too)...but above all, PRAY.

Pray, pray, pray, pray, pray...

Talk to God.

Wrestle with him.

Yell at him.

Whine and complain to him.

Just keep talking to him.

Keep praying to him and your heart, your soul will find peace with the announcement that Sarah just made.

And remember...GOD AIN'T DONE WITH HER YET.
